
Dr. Mary Elhardt, MD was born and raised in Waco, Texas. She graduated from the University of Houston with degrees in Biology and Political Science. In 2014, she obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. She was chief resident in her Family Medicine Residency at Texas Tech in Amarillo. She has worked at the Amarillo Northwest Texas Hospital Freestanding ERs for over 8 years. She additionally dabbles in numerous primary care telemedicine pursuits.
Dr. Elhardt is deeply passionate about serving underserved communities and addressing health inequities as a physician. She is committed to advocating for patients who face systemic barriers to health.
In her free time, Dr. Elhardt enjoys skiing, astrophotography, ballroom dancing, and scuba diving. She loves reading thrillers and nonfiction with her three beautiful cats. She additionally loves learning new cultures and has traveled to over 21 countries with medical mission trips to Haiti, Nicaragua, and El Salvador. She has traveled to 25 US National Parks.
