EM Alliance is proud to welcome Dr. Shanteria Dixon as Medical Director of Alan B. Miller Medical Center, where she will lead emergency department operations with a focus on quality, safety, and patient-centered care.

A Foundation Built on Leadership and Academic Excellence

Dr. Dixon’s path in Emergency Medicine reflects both academic achievement and early leadership. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, a Master of Public Health in Health Services Management from Emory University, and her medical degree from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University.

She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident and demonstrating a strong commitment to team leadership and clinical excellence.

Driving Quality and Patient-Centered Emergency Care

Since returning to Florida in 2019, Dr. Dixon has focused on advancing emergency care delivery through operational improvement, patient safety, and physician engagement.

Her leadership approach emphasizes:

• A culture of accountability and collaboration
• Consistent, patient-centered clinical care

Dr. Dixon brings a unique and deeply personal perspective to her role. After surviving a traumatic accident at age 13, she understands the healthcare experience from both sides- shaping her commitment to empathy, communication, and continuous improvement in patient care.

Commitment Beyond the Emergency Department

In addition to her clinical leadership, Dr. Dixon is actively engaged in community service. She has served as Advisory Board Chair for the Florence De George Boys & Girls Club and continues to support the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County.

She is also a member of the West Palm Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., reflecting her ongoing dedication to service and community impact.
